Aims and Philosophy

Twickenham Preparatory School seeks to create a safe, caring and happy family environment in which all pupils are valued and can thrive personally, socially and academically.

We aim to:

  • Provide a Bible-based Christian family environment, where children of all cultures and backgrounds are valued as unique and special.

  •
  • Encourage each individual to achieve his/her full academic potential through a broad and balanced curriculum using a variety of teaching and learning styles.

  •
  • Instil moral values and teach children to treat others as they wish to be treated themselves.

  •
  • Encourage self-control and independence by providing an environment which motivates the personal and social development of each pupil.

  •
  • Enable every child to fulfil his/her individual potential, be it academic, spiritual, artistic, musical or sporting.

  •
  • Provide the platform for children to experience a wide range of diverse and enjoyable activities in which all can participate.

  •
  • Be a part of the local community by fostering close links with churches, other schools and various charities.

  •
  • Provide a secure environment through a caring school community and the House system.

  •
  • Welcome parents’ contributions to school life, encouraging a partnership between home and school where good lines of communication are continually fostered.
